As you probably have noticed from the title, I will be hosting a Sonic fan character creating contest. I am stuck in a kind of funk. I can't think of any new character ideas whatsoever. I want to start with the recolours
How do you guys think we feel when you make blog posts about the recolour rule being bad? I feel terrible. But I know this is the right thing. We've even got legal issues because of it. People are making a big deal out of NOTHING. NOTHING!
You can draw, it's easy. It may not be the best thing but constantly using bases or recolouring wont help you! You don't want to the fact that fact you can't draw well? Well, I had to as well. I didn't like it. And look at me now. You wont to be like me, pink, froz, greeny, spoon and all the artists on here? Well hiding away from practise won't help!

Chain of Command?
First off I would like to point out the work that has been put in from day one by Pink, she as well as Ivy, Muppet, Gamer and Surge (and some others I may have forgotten, sorry) Have put in tons of work to get this wikia operational. The problem I see now is Without Pink the order begins to deteriorate and the functionality of the wikia slows, now I’m not saying that Ivy and other admins aren't putting in work to keep us afloat too, it just seems that Pink is the only person bring about major changes to the wikia. Seriously, I don't see any sort of point in me being here now.
All I feel now is you guys pointing the fingers at me, as if I caused the banning of recolours. That isn't exxagerating, thats how it feels!
All we do is argue now, I can remember the early days, when I would have great RPS with pink through talk pages, when we would all be there for eachother, those great days on the chat, that amazing conversation I had with Kamakazi for 2 hours on the chat. I miss that.

Right now, I admit that I am…less than happy right now, to be honest, I’m pretty pissed off. At first I was just going to try to ignore everything that’s been going on lately but yesterday completely changed my perception of all this. New Rules
I checked the poll today and it's got the majority being no to keeping recolours so they're going to be all taken down. Sorry to the people who voted yes but you were a little outnumbered.
So onto the new rules: (Some are copy-pasted from the old rules too)
1. Recolours are not allowed at all. Base edits that aren't from sonic X screenshot bases are fine (Make sure you give credit to the basemaker somewhere). Pictures made from a Doll generator are fine too, just make sure to put credit.
2. Don't use other peoples characters or pictures without permission, admins will remove it
3. Don't use pictures that you find randomly on the internet either, they are probably other people's characters and they won't be happy if you steal them.

About Recolours... My style
Yeah spoon did one of these so I wanted to lol. I know a lot about recolours so before you pick your answer on the poll I want you to read these(and spoons) carefully.

To be honest, im not exactly "against" recolours, if you feel so inclined to simply draw over a pic (despite the fact that its someone else's work) then go right ahead, nobody is stopping you, its just there's not a great deal of creativity or artistic ingenuity under such matters =/ being a former victim of recolouring myself, i understand entirely that the perception of confidence in one's own design can be finite under (so called) beneficial regards, in other words the overall dependency on using someone else's work for your own benefit seems a little...well...lazy...

Recolours - (copied from a comment I posted on another blog post) I mean, what's the harm in actually trying to learn to draw your own stuff instead of having to rely on a screenshot from the show or someone else's artwork as a crutch. Okay yeah, I used to recolour, but when Tautropfen show up complaining about them i realised that there wasn't really a good reason against what she was saying. I think that I am going to leave this wikia. I mean, I have a ton of different ideas that I want to share, but I doubt anyone would think that they're good ones. I've mainly been motivated to leave by Emeraldgreeny, always threatening to ban me and saying how I'm insolent. Yeah, so the rules maybe alittle vague/hypocrite/outdated/ignored/whatever
So I decided to make a blog page where all you lot can help decide what the rules should be and that are reasonable on the wiki. If you don't contribute to the convosation then you have no reason to whine about the changes made later ._. (though you should be mature enough not to whine anyway)
